Your privacy is important to me. Your data is your property. I will treat your data as I would want my own personal data to be treated.
Collecting your data
I only collect personal information that I believe is needed to be able to perform contracted photographic services. You can ask to see what personal information I have on you, correct any errors, and ask for its deletion at any time.
What personal information I collect
I collect contact information to be able to organise, send images and bill a job. Namely: Names, addresses, email, telephone, DNI (Spanish ID numbers).
In case of portrait or wedding photography, I collect biographical information about your interests, profession, families, how you met, Facebook or Instagram usernames and so on. I do this to inspire and guide my professional photography.
I only collect sensitive personal data (ethnicity, health data, political beliefs, religious beliefs, sexual orientation etc) when the shoot requires it. For example for a religious wedding ceremony or same-sex marriage.
Protection of personal data
I am the only person with access to your data. All my devices are password protected.
How I store your personal information
Shoot details and billing details. I use a management software called Light Blue to organise my shoot records. Details are stored on the Light Blue server to be able to sync between my computers. Light Blue is based in the UK and it’s privacy notice is here.
Images are not considered to be personal data. They are artistic works. The author of the work, ie me, owns the image and all rights associated with them. I only publish images with the consent of my clients. If a client later decides to withdraw consent I remove the images. I want happy clients. I am hugely grateful to my clients who allow me to show images as it’s the only way future clients get to see my work.
Transferring your data outside of the EEA
I use third-party providers, Mailchimp (for email newsletters) and Facebook (for social media). Mailchimp and Facebook are registered with the US Privacy Shield. This means that the USA has been deemed by the European Commission to provide an adequate level of protection for your personal information.
You're entitled to know what personal information I hold about you and how that information is processed. You can ask me to do any of the following things:
- to access your data;
- to rectify any mistakes relating to your data;
- to erase your data;
- to stop processing your data;
- to receive an electronic copy of your data;
- to object to my processing of your data;
- to object to any automated decision making that I may do using your personal data; and (automatic) to receive a notification of any breach of your personal data.
